Hola,
Not long been into greenlaning/ off-road riding (been riding on-road for yonks), literally pulled the trigger on a 2018 CRF250L 30 mins ago, picking it up on Monday 👍
My immediate purchases will probably be - Handguards, bashplate, folding gear and brake pegs so I'm looking for any pros/cons recommendations on what to buy. I've no idea about bashplates, whats good, whats not so good etc. Handguards are either Acerbis or Barkbusters (any pros or cons of one over another?) - Any recommendations on what to fit? Folding pegs? Again I've no idea - RFX, Honda, Tusk, sooo many brands to choose from!
So any help/ recommendations would be grategully received.
Cheers
Steve
I'd recommend a concepts seat for sure.
Certainly been good choice for the CRF's I've had .
I use both of the hand guards you've listed, I haven't found one better than the other, so its a question of personal choice/availability in my opinion. I would suggest you fit hand guards, a baseplate, then ride the bike and as you find things you want to improve, buy as you need. I came back from a trip to Portugal a few months ago, a few in the group were riding CRF's, each one was slightly different in set up to suit each riders style, personal preferences. Let your riding dictate your choices, its a great journey, but only you know what you want , need, can afford. A standard bike is still fun.
